PRACTICE AND RESEARCH CENTER REGULATION

FIRST SECTION

Introductory Provisions

Purpose

ARTICLE 1- (1) The purpose of this Regulation is to regulate the procedures and principles related to the purposes, areas of activity, management bodies, duties of the management bodies, and the working method of the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Dentistry Practice and Research Center.

Scope

ARTICLE 2- (1) This Regulation covers the provisions related to the purposes, areas of activity, management bodies, duties of the management bodies, and the working method of the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Dentistry Practice and Research Center.

Basis

ARTICLE 3- (1) This Regulation has been prepared based on the first paragraph of Article 7 (d) clause (2) and Article 14 of the Higher Education Law dated 4/11/1981 and numbered 2547.

Definitions

ARTICLE 4- (1) In this Regulation;

a) Department Head: Heads of the departments of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Dentistry,

b) Advisory Board: The Advisory Board of the Center,

c) Dean: Dean of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Dentistry,

ç) Faculty: Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Dentistry,

d) Hospital Director: Director of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Dentistry Practice and Research Center Hospital,

e) Clinic supervisor: Faculty member responsible for the clinic of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Dentistry Practice and Research Hospital,

f) Center (Hospital): Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Dentistry Practice and Research Center,

g) Director (Chief Physician): Director of the Center,

ğ) Deputy Director (Deputy Chief Physician): Deputy Director of the Center,

h) Rector: Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University,

ı) Senate: Senate of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University,

i) Responsible Nurse (Head Nurse): Responsible Nurse of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Dentistry Practice and Research Center,

SECOND SECTION

Purposes and Activity Areas of the Center

Purposes of the Center

ARTICLE 5- (1) The purposes of the Center are:

a) To provide opportunities for clinical applications and research that need to be carried out within the scope of the undergraduate and graduate education and training programs of the Faculty.

b) To provide scientific and quality oral, dental and jaw health treatment service to all patients who apply to the Center, whether emergency or not.

c) To support the training of auxiliary health personnel.

ç) To cooperate with other institutions and organizations, especially faculties, institutes, colleges, practice and research centers within the University, related to the activity areas of the Center.

d) To increase the efficiency and quality of education and health services.

e) To prepare the necessary conditions for scientific research and applications and to provide academic support.

Activity areas of the Center

ARTICLE 6- (1) The activity areas of the Center are:

a) To provide contemporary, scientific and reliable oral, dental and jaw health service to all patients who apply to the Center and to conduct research and applications related to this subject.

b) To perform interventional surgical techniques within the scope of specialty treatment protocols, to provide outpatient or inpatient observation, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients in local and general operating rooms, and to establish the necessary units related to the subject.

c) To cooperate with all disciplines on research on community oral and dental health.

ç) To provide opportunities for the development of joint projects on oral and dental health with relevant public institutions and organizations.

d) To prepare scientific research conditions for the highest level of medical research and applications.

e) To cooperate with public and private sector institutions and organizations when necessary on issues related to oral and dental health.

f) To cooperate and make agreements with national and international institutions in the field of oral, dental and jaw health, to organize certificate and training programs within the framework of the provisions of the relevant legislation, to provide postgraduate education to dentists, to organize panels, seminars, courses, congresses and similar activities and to present scientific opinions.

g) To prepare the infrastructure for health practice and research activities, primarily faculties and other education and training units that train health personnel within the University.

ğ) To engage in other activities decided by the Management Board in line with the purposes of the Center.

THIRD SECTION

Management Bodies and Duties of the Center

Management bodies of the Center

ARTICLE 7- (1) The management bodies of the Center are:

a) Director (Chief Physician).

b) Management Board.

c) Advisory Board.

Director

ARTICLE 8- (1) The Director is appointed by the Rector for a period of three years from among the faculty members of the Clinical Sciences Department of the Faculty of Dentistry. The Director whose term of office has ended can be reappointed in the same way. The Director can be dismissed from his/her duty by the Rector before the end of his/her term of office.

(2) If the Director leaves his/her duty before the end of his/her term, a new appointment is made in the same way.

Duties of the Director

ARTICLE 9- (1) The duties of the Director are:

a) To carry out and represent hospital services in accordance with the relevant legislation.

b) To take necessary measures and make necessary arrangements for the efficient operation of the Center.

c) To ensure that the Center's operations are carried out regularly and developed.

ç) To determine the performances of the department/department services according to the income-expenditure balance and to prepare their budget and staff needs with their reasons and present them to the Management Board.
